Rolling sound of bearings: A sound meter is used to check the size and sound quality of the rolling sound of bearings during operation. Even if there are slight scratches on the bearings, abnormal and irregular sounds will be emitted. A sound meter can effectively solve this problem. If the lubrication and installation parts are suitable, the bearing temperature will suddenly rise, and the temperature will rise abnormally. At this time, the operation must be stopped and necessary preventive measures must be taken. Based on a large amount of test data, Table 4-1 lists the average temperature of the outer ring during bearing operation in various machinery for reference. Due to the influence of lubrication, speed, load, and environment on temperature, the values in the table only represent approximate temperature ranges.
Vibration of bearings: The damage caused by bearing vibration to bearings is quite obvious, such as common problems such as indentation, rust, cracks, peeling, wear, etc., which can be clearly felt during testing. Therefore, by using special bearing vibration measuring devices (frequency analyzers, etc.), the magnitude of vibration can be measured, and the specific abnormal situation cannot be inferred through frequency analysis. The measured values vary depending on the usage conditions of the bearings or the installation position of the sensors, so it is necessary to perform certain operations on the measured values of each machine in advance to determine the final data.
Temperature of bearings: The temperature of some bearings can be measured. If the temperature of the outer ring of the bearing can be directly measured using an oil hole, it is more suitable. Usually, the temperature of the bearing gradually increases with operation and reaches a relatively stable level after a few hours. The normal temperature of bearings may vary depending on the heat capacity, heat dissipation, rotational speed, and rotation mode of the machine. The use of thermal sensors can monitor the working temperature of bearings at any time, providing preparation and reminders before accidents occur.
