Summary of Naming Methods for Bearing Designations
Basic code
Representing the basic type, structure, and size of bearings, it is the basis of bearing codes. Pre and post codes are supplementary codes added around the basic code when there are changes in the structural shape, size, tolerance, and technical requirements of bearings
Basic code
Type code - Size series code - Inner diameter code
The size series code of bearings is composed of a combination of the width (height) series code and diameter code of bearings
The diameter series refers to the outer diameter series corresponding to the same bearing inner diameter, which are 7, 8, 9, 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, etc
A series of diameters with increasing dimensions in sequence.
The width series refers to the width dimension series of the same bearing diameter series, which include 8, 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, etc
A width series with increasing width dimensions in sequence
The thrust bearing corresponds to the width series of radial bearings with increasing height dimensions such as 7, 9, 1, and 2 in the height series
4 height series
Inner diameter code nominal inner diameter 10 to 17 examples 00 to 03 00=10 01=12 02=15 03=17 04 above x 5, 0.6 to 10 (non integer) and size series code separated by "/". Example 618/2.5 d=2.5mm, 1 to 9 (integer) for deep groove ball bearings and angular contact ball bearings 7, 8, 9 diameter series inner diameter and size series code separated by "/". Example: deep groove ball bearings 625, 618/5 d=5mm

Universal paired bearings, can be installed in any (series, face-to-face or back-to-back) pairing, with rear codes UA, UO, UL
UA has small axial clearance when installing bearings face-to-face or back-to-back.
UO has no clearance when installing bearings face to face or back-to-back.
UL has slight pre interference when installing bearings face-to-face or back-to-back.
